As Jesus' days on earth progressed, he attracted larger and larger crowds. These crowds weren't rich. The people weren't relaxing in a climate-controlled convention center with concession stands at every turn. These crowds were suffering-physically and spiritually. Jesus knew that helping them would reveal God's love to them in compelling ways.
Jesus had the power to do anything, and he has that same power today. Help children realize the importance of knowing Jesus' power so he can work through their lives and through the lives of those they touch.
Why did he pray for them?
Does Jesus need special equipment to help others? Explain.
Was Jesus able to do anything that people needed? Explain.
What about today? Can Jesus still do anything? Explain.
